Lil’ Yachty is now an official member of FaZe Clan aka FaZe Boat. The Atlanta rapper shut down LA’s Rolling Loud Festival when he announced that he was joining the team.
Before his set kicked off, FaZe Boat was on stage throwing out exclusive “FaZe Boat” t-shirts with “Welcome To FaZe Clan” written on the back to attendees in the crowd. Boat brought Banks, Temperrr, Adapt and Apex on stage to help cannon blast the crowd. The tees will be available on fazeclan.com next week so stay tuned.
“Y’all looking at the newest member of FaZe Clan right here in your f*ckin face,” Yachty shouted before lighting up the crowd by tossing water in the air as soon as the beat dropped on “Mase in ‘97.”
Following the performance, Boat, Banks, Temperrr, Adapt and Apex sat down with Complex to talk about how the FaZe Clan connection came about.
“It’s gang, man. We needed to announce this. I feel like people didn’t know how serious it was. We had to let them know that it was 100 percent serious,” said Yachty.
Lil Boat used to watch FaZe Clan videos when he was in high school, and ended up linking up with Banks in the DMs. “We hit each other up and it was all tight,” said Banks. “It’s like asking how you met your best friend. It just happened.”
When asked about the exclusive tee they were tossing into the crowd Yachty claimed Quavo asked for one and Mike Tyson was backstage “beating people up” for the shirt.
We’ll announce the next drop with Yachty soon so tune in.
